Jumeirah Village Circle — JVC for short — is the master-planned mid-rise residential community south of Al Khail Road, between Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Hessa Street. It was conceived in the mid-2000s as an inland family alternative to the Marina, with a mix of two-and-three-storey townhouses, low-to-mid-rise apartment buildings, and the central JVC park at its heart. The area is divided into twelve numbered districts — JVC 1 through JVC 12 — and the population has grown steadily through the 2010s and 2020s.
JVC is one of our highest-volume delivery areas in the city, and the reason isn't difficult: it's a value-conscious market that values the things we offer as standard — the five-year warranty, the lifetime cushion refilling, the white-glove delivery and assembly. A typical JVC customer has done their research before they reach us, often comparing us to two or three other UAE-made-to-order brands, and the conversion to order tends to be faster than the city average.
The brief here is dictated by family living. Most of our JVC customers are young families, often with children under ten, and the pieces are spec'd accordingly. We over-spec foam density on JVC orders by default — these sofas get used hard. The most-ordered fabric is performance velvet, followed by tight-loop bouclé and our polycotton blend; raw linen is rare. Circle Mall sits at the geographic centre of JVC — the neighbourhood mall opened in 2021 with Carrefour, the cinema, the dental clinics and the District One restaurants that have become weekend brunch fixtures. JVC Park, just south, is the area's main green space — running track, three kids' playgrounds, and the only proper park in inland Dubai of this scale.
Bloomingdale Drive — technically the District 16 retail strip — has emerged organically as JVC's secondary food-and-coffee corridor. Tom & Serg, Charlie's Daughters, Breadsmith and a dozen other independent operators sit along it, and on a Saturday morning the queue for brunch at any of them runs to twenty minutes. Discovery Gardens and the Gardens are the older neighbouring residential pockets to the east; The Gardens specifically holds the JBR-walking-distance shopping and the original IKEA outlet that's been a city fixture since 1991.
